To provide clients with first-class legal services, building on our traditional practice areas, our firm has formed strong partnerships with other institutions to launch new services such as corporate compliance, bankruptcy administration, and comprehensive cross-border legal services. We remain proactive, pioneering, and committed to reaching new heights in our practice.

At the end of 2020, our firm reached a cooperation agreement with the Beijing headquarters of ilaw Compliance Academy, successfully signing an agreement to establish the Yunnan branch of the Compliance Academy based on our firm. Our compliance team is fully committed to developing this business segment, providing high-quality compliance legal services to a wide range of state-owned enterprises. As a result, our firm has become a leader in compliance services for state-owned enterprises within the province.

At the end of 2020, our firm signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with a notary office, aiming to promote the integration and innovation of legal practice and notarial services, and jointly advance cross-border integrated legal service projects.

In early 2021, our firm signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with its partner organizations, aiming to deepen collaboration in specialized areas—including corporate bankruptcy—and jointly promote high-quality legal services.

Rooted in China, with our sights set on the world. To meet the demands of the times and achieve our development goal of “stepping from here onto the global stage,” our firm officially established a U.S. office in Irvine, Los Angeles, California, at the end of 2019. This marks the first permanent overseas presence of Yunnan’s legal services industry in North America. The establishment of the U.S. office is not only an important step taken by our firm toward realizing its internationalization strategy, but also a significant move made by the entire Yunnan legal services sector to ensure high-standard opening-up to the outside world. In addition, our firm serves as the legal advisor to the Consulate General of Thailand in Kunming, China, and has actively participated in and successfully provided services during negotiations for the construction and transportation contracts of refrigerated container ships along the Lancang-Mekong River between China and Thailand. We have also provided legal services for the equity transfer of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in China-Thailand and the termination of the joint venture. Furthermore, we offered comprehensive services to the Pu'er Tea Association of Yunnan Province when it filed an opposition against the preemptive registration of the “Pu'er Tea” trademark in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department. Additionally, we provide legal services to domestic enterprises regarding their overseas investments, trade activities, maritime affairs, and other related matters. In 2021, our firm formally established an office in Germany.

Yet every chapter past is merely a prologue. Looking ahead, we will remain true to our original aspirations, continue to build on the brand strengths of our firm as a “nationally outstanding law firm,” explore new areas of practice, and consolidate our advantages in traditional fields. We aim to establish a partnership-based law firm that puts clients’ interests at the center and fosters full internal resource sharing.

Building on the successful establishment of offices in the U.S. and Germany, we have set up several branches both domestically and internationally.
