Brief Introduction

Criminal defense is a traditional strength in Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm. At present, the Criminal Business Department is composed of more than 30 outstanding lawyers who graduated from first-class law schools in China. Scope of Service

1. Crime Prevention

Accept the employment of state agencies, enterprises and institutions, and various associations and legal persons in accordance with the law, provide legal advice and assistance, and conduct the training of duty crime prevention, criminal risk prevention and control of enterprise senior management practice, and enterprise criminal compliance.

2. Legal Services in Investigation Stage

Provide legal assistance to the parties in accordance with the law, meet with the criminal suspects, understand the suspected crimes and relevant cases, provide legal advice to the criminal suspects, apply for bail pending trial, and act as an agent for appeals and accusations.

3. Legal Services in Review and Prosecution Stage

Defend the criminal suspects according to law, consult, extract and copy relevant materials of the case, meet and correspond with criminal suspects, investigate and collect relevant evidence materials, and put forward written defense opinions to procuratorial organs that criminal suspects are innocent, guilty of a minor crime or can be mitigated or exempted from criminal responsibility. If the procuratorate makes a decision not to prosecute, and the person who is not prosecuted requests a complaint, the lawyer shall lodge a complaint with the procuratorate on his or her behalf. Act as the victim's agent ad litem and put forward the agency's opinions on the case to the procuratorial organ.

4. Legal Services in Trial Stage

Provide defense services for the defendant in the process of the first and second instance according to law, and consult, extract and copy relevant materials of the case; meet and correspond with the accused, investigate and collect evidence, participate in court hearings, put forward defense opinions that the accused is innocent or guilty of a minor crime; Act as the agent ad litem of the victim, participate in the trial, and put forward agency opinions on the case to the people's court.

5. Defending the Defendant in Review Stage of the Death Penalty

Meet and correspond with the accused, investigate and collect evidence, and put forward defense opinions that the accused is innocent, guilty of a minor crime or that the death penalty should not be approved.

6. Legal Services in Retrial Stage

Act as the lawyer for appeal cases, prepare appeal materials on behalf of the parties according to law, file cases for retrial, and participate in the trial of retrial cases.

7. Legal Services for Criminal Incidental Civil Litigation

Act as the agent ad litem of the parties to incidental civil litigation according to law, make criminal incidental civil pleadings on their behalf, guide and assist the clients to collect evidence, suggest or assist the clients to apply to the people's court for the seizure or sealing up of the defendant's property, participate in court trials, appeal and complain to the investigation organ and public prosecution organ on their behalf, and write legal opinions.

8. Legal Services for Criminal Private Prosecution Cases

Accept the entrustment of the private prosecutor, act as the agent ad litem of the private prosecutor, make and submit criminal private petitions on behalf of the private prosecutor, collect relevant accusatory evidence, participate in court trials and accuse crimes; act as the defender of the defendant in private prosecution cases and provide defense services for the defendant according to law.
