[Zhongji Public Welfare] Our firm is carrying out a volunteer service activity to commemorate the “March 5th Lei Feng Memorial Day.”
To promote the spirit of Lei Feng and put into practice the core socialist values, our firm will carry out a “Learn from Lei Feng” activity on March 5—the “Lei Feng Memorial Day.”
The Party Branch of our firm actively responded to the call and launched a “Learn from Lei Feng Legal Consultation Volunteer Service” activity in Heilinpu Subdistrict, Wuhua District. Centered on providing free legal consultation services, this initiative aims to bring legal knowledge directly to the people and address their practical legal needs.
At the event site, our firm’s lawyers warmly welcomed every member of the public who came for consultation. They listened patiently and attentively to each person’s questions, drawing on their professional legal knowledge and practical experience to provide clear and easy-to-understand explanations. For each individual seeking advice, they offered professional and practical legal recommendations. For some particularly complex legal issues, they even left their contact information to provide follow-up services later on, ensuring that the public’s concerns would be properly addressed.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhixin, Secretary of the Party Branch and a lawyer, went to the Affiliated Middle School of Yunnan Normal University to conduct legal education activities for the school’s teachers and students.
Yang Chunyan, a member of the organizing committee of the Second Party Branch and a lawyer, visited Kunming No. 5 Middle School to deliver a series of lectures titled “Building a Joint Defense Between Home and School to Prevent Campus Bullying,” providing legal safeguards for the healthy growth of adolescents.
Through various forms of action, Zhongji Ren demonstrates its sense of social responsibility and mission, ensuring that the spirit of Lei Feng continues to shine brightly in legal services of the new era. On the afternoon of January 12, 2021, Zhou Yuansheng, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice; Yan Guo, Deputy Secretary-General of the All China Lawyers Association; Liu Chunhua, Director of the Division for Foreign-Related and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice; and Li Kai'ang, First-Level Chief Staff Member of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, visited Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm (formerly Yunnan Liu Hule Law Firm) to provide guidance and conduct a research study on the Party building work among lawyers. Zhao Zuping, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice, as well as Party Secretary of the provincial lawyers’ industry; Wan Li, President of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association; and Li Jiangan, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Management Division of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice and Secretary-General of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association, accompanied the research team. The research focused primarily on the current status of Party building in the legal profession, the practice environment for lawyers, and the development of the legal profession. Accompanied by Wan Li, Director of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, and its staff, the research team toured the new office building of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm.
On February 26, the People's Procuratorate of Yunnan Province and the Department of Justice of Yunnan Province held a symposium titled “Strengthening Collaboration Between Prosecutors and Lawyers to Promote Judicial Fairness” at the Zhongji Law Firm in Yunnan. Wang Guanghui, Party Secretary and Procurator-General of the Provincial People's Procuratorate, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhao Zuping, a member of the Party Committee of the Provincial Department of Justice, Deputy Director of the Department, and Party Secretary of the provincial lawyers’ industry, chaired the meeting. Huang Weihua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Deputy Procurator-General of the Provincial People's Procuratorate, Wan Li, President of the Provincial Lawyers Association, and representatives of lawyers also attended the meeting.
