As the second decade of the 21st century begins—and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm (formerly Yunnan Liu Hule Law Firm)—our firm’s U.S. office has officially been established in the state of California, USA. Since its founding in 2000, Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm has embraced “accumulating strength steadily for a powerful burst” as its corporate ethos and has consistently upheld “going global” as its guiding principle. After careful deliberation and thorough preparation, Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm officially established the Zhongji Law Firm U.S. Office on February 1, 2020, in Irvine, a city located in the southern part of Los Angeles, USA.

A red-headed document issued by the Chengdu National Audit Office has stirred up a storm in the cost estimation field. Recently, both a state-owned enterprise and a private real estate developer have consulted with me regarding construction contract disputes in which they previously served as defendants. In these cases, the cost appraisal institutions commissioned by the courts had used Guanglianda’s engineering cost software for quantity surveying and pricing. However, the Chengdu Audit Office’s “Chengshen Han (2025) No. 34,” a “Letter from the Chengdu Audit Office Regarding Attention to Risks in Quantity Surveying and Pricing Using Engineering Cost Software,” indicates that Guanglianda’s engineering cost software tends to overestimate quantities. Consequently, the firms claim to have “new evidence sufficient to overturn the original judgment or ruling” and plan to file an application for retrial in these cases.

To help our newly hired employees gain a deeper understanding of the “Zhongji” culture and better integrate into the work environment, the onboarding training session for new hires, organized and implemented by the Administration and Logistics Department, was held as scheduled on the afternoon of June 27, 2025, in the multi-functional conference room.
On June 26, 2025, Ms. Huang Na, a senior partner at our firm, was invited by the Kunyuan Road Community in Heilinpu Subdistrict, Wuhua District, to deliver a special legal education lecture for migrant workers in the jurisdiction, working together to strengthen the rule-of-law defense.
