Leadership Care: Zhou Yuansheng, Director of the Bureau of Lawyers’ Work at the Ministry of Justice, and his delegation visited Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm to conduct research and provide guidance.
On the afternoon of January 12, 2021, Zhou Yuansheng, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice; Yan Guo, Deputy Secretary-General of the All China Lawyers Association; Liu Chunhua, Director of the Division for Foreign-Related and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice; and Li Kai'ang, First-Level Chief Staff Member of the Lawyers’ Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, visited Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm (formerly Yunnan Liu Hule Law Firm) to provide guidance and conduct a research study on the Party building work among lawyers. Zhao Zuping, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice, as well as Party Secretary of the provincial lawyers’ industry; Wan Li, President of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association; and Li Jiangan, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Management Division of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice and Secretary-General of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association, accompanied the research team. The research focused primarily on the current status of Party building in the legal profession, the practice environment for lawyers, and the development of the legal profession. Accompanied by Wan Li, Director of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, and its staff, the research team toured the new office building of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm.

Zhao Zuping, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice, as well as Party Secretary of the provincial lawyers’ industry; Wan Li, President of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association; and Li Jiangan, Director of the Lawyers’ Work Management Division of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Justice and Secretary-General of the Yunnan Provincial Lawyers Association, accompanied the visit. The primary focus of this research was the current status of Party building in the legal profession, the practice environment for lawyers, and the development trends of the legal profession.
Accompanied by Wan Li, Director of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, and its staff, the research team visited the new office building of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm.
Subsequently, the research team visited the Party-building activity hall and the United Front Members’ Home of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm. Director Wan Li and the staff briefed the working group on the establishment process of the Party committee of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, its composition, the implementation of Party building among lawyers, and the achievements made in lawyer Party building. After carefully listening to the briefing, the research team engaged in an in-depth exchange with the staff on specific models mentioned in the report—such as the vertical management of Party committees and using Party building to promote institutional development—as well as on how Party organizations play a role in law firm management.
This research activity represents the recognition and affirmation of the Party organization and senior leaders toward the Party-building work at Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm. Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the research team for the valuable insights and suggestions they provided regarding the Party-building efforts of our lawyers during this research activity.

In fact, such collusive bidding practices have always existed to some extent; however, previously the focus was mainly on investigating and prosecuting bribery and acceptance of bribes, with little attention paid to the related issue of collusive bidding itself. Faced with this new trend, collusive bidding crimes clearly deserve greater attention. Yet even more important is the complexity and controversy surrounding these cases. The complexity of such collusive bidding stems from the intricate interplay among official misconduct, the crime of collusive bidding, differences between administrative and criminal offenses, and the nuanced relationship—dependent on specific factual circumstances—that determines whether a collusive bid actually constitutes a crime. This situation involves not only questions of fact-finding and legal application but also a number of issues that warrant careful examination from both legal and logical perspectives.
In the field of construction engineering, recoverable profits are directly linked to the economic interest balance and protection of the parties to a contract, often amounting to millions, tens of millions, or even hundreds of millions of yuan. However, due to the unique characteristics and complexity of construction projects, disputes arising from construction contract disputes frequently give rise to numerous controversies among the parties involved. Moreover, the people's courts do not consistently—nor even uniformly—interpret or apply the standards for awarding compensation for lost recoverable profits, with varying approaches sometimes being markedly different. By analyzing relevant legal provisions and typical cases, this article systematically reviews the current state of judicial practice regarding the protection of recoverable profits in construction engineering, identifies existing problems, and proposes potential solutions, thereby providing reference for the compliant party in anticipating and asserting their recoverable profits.
To thoroughly implement the general requirements for Party building in the new era, fully unleash the fighting fortress effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations and the exemplary role of Party members, and promote the deep integration of Party building with business operations—thus driving high-quality development through high-quality Party building—on July 2, 2025, the Party Branch Committee of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm and the Second Party Branch of China National Shipbuilding Industry Materials Cloud-Guizhou Co., Ltd. jointly hosted a Party building co-construction symposium and signing ceremony, marking the beginning of a new chapter of cooperation.
