On September 1, 2025—the first day of the new semester—Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, filled with heartfelt compassion and sincerity, stepped through the gates of the Kunming Children’s Welfare Institute, embarking on a journey of public welfare.
The “Standard for Pricing of Quantity Takeoffs in Construction Projects” (GB/T50500-2024) will come into effect on September 1, 2025. Compared with the “Norm for Pricing of Quantity Takeoffs in Construction Projects” (GB50500-2013), this new standard includes numerous revisions, additions, and deletions, significantly impacting measurement and pricing activities throughout the processes of project contracting, implementation, settlement, and review (audit). To this end, the author, drawing on practical experience from handling construction project dispute cases, will introduce these changes one by one. Here, we provide a brief analysis of practical issues such as “the responsible parties for the obligation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of quantity takeoffs (hereinafter referred to as the ‘takeoff obligation’), as well as their corresponding legal implications, precautions, and risk mitigation measures.”
On August 29, 2025, in order to genuinely help university freshmen from financially disadvantaged families smoothly begin their college life, the Yunnan Zhongji (Qujing) Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as the Qujing Branch) organized a scholarship distribution event for needy university freshmen for the year 2025. On the morning of August 29, 2025, the Kunyuan Road Community and Mianshan Community in Kunming City jointly hosted a themed event titled “Joining Hands in Legal Education to Safeguard Happiness—Gathering on the Qixi Festival to Discuss Family Traditions,” officially launching the “Lawful Community—Legal Guidance for the People’s Hearts” legal education project jointly established by the Party Branch of Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm and the Kunyuan Road Community. He Hengyun, a senior lawyer from Yunnan Zhongji Law Firm, volunteered to deliver a lecture centered on the Marriage and Family section of the Civil Code, providing residents with a practical legal lesson that promotes the deep integration of the rule-of-law spirit and family tradition building.
Recently, during a communication meeting with our advisory clients regarding administrative penalty matters, it was noted that an increasing number of cases in which administrative counterparts have filed applications for administrative reconsideration against administrative enforcement actions have become a growing challenge for current administrative law enforcement.
On the morning of August 22, 2025, Yang Ruiying, Director of the Belt and Road Working Committee of the Kunming Lawyers Association, and Zhang Jie, a committee member, visited our firm to conduct a research visit on matters related to foreign-related legal services.
