Representative performance:
1. In 2002, we handled the highly publicized case of Gou Huaqing, who was accused of intentional homicide within the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province. (In this case, the Qujing Municipal People's Procuratorate considered Gou to be suspected of intentional homicide, while the applicant argued that Gou’s actions constituted the crime of death caused by negligence. Ultimately, the court adopted the applicant’s view, and Gou was sentenced to three years of imprisonment. The case was subsequently reported by the Yunnan Daily, the former Yunnan Legal System News, the Chuncheng Evening News, and the Qujing Daily.)
2. In 2005, I represented Jiang Lei in the insurance contract dispute case against Pacific Insurance Company. Through the first instance, second instance, and retrial proceedings, I successfully safeguarded Jiang Lei’s legitimate rights and interests. (This case was reported by Qujing TV Station.)
3. In 2007, I provided defense counsel for Mr. Long, the former branch president of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China in Xuanwei City. The Qujing Municipal People's Procuratorate considered Mr. Long to be suspected of embezzlement, whereas I argued that his conduct constituted the crime of misappropriation of public funds. Ultimately, the court adopted my argument, and Mr. Long was sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment.
4. In 2011, I participated in handling the highly publicized “11.10” coal and gas outburst major liability accident case at the Sizhuang Coal Mine in Shizong County, which attracted widespread attention from all sectors of society (and resulted in the dismissal of one of several charges originally alleged by the procuratorial authorities).
5. In 2016, we acted as agents in the dispute over the sales contract for commercial housing involving Wang Liyan and 82 other households against the Lushi Branch of Qujing Dafeng Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., thereby safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of our clients.
6. In 2016, I represented Xuanwei Dong Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. in the construction arbitration case against the Management Bureau of Laolufang Reservoir in Dahai Township, Huize County.
7. In 2022, represented Guoyao Holdings Qujing Co., Ltd. in the dispute over a sales contract against Shizong County People’s Hospital (the amount involved exceeded 63 million yuan).
8. Through successive defenses, multiple individuals were spared criminal prosecution by the court; Zeng, Cha, Duan, and others suspected of rape and intentional injury were either acquitted or had their cases dismissed by the procuratorial authorities.

1. I provided criminal defense services for a manager accused of a serious crime involving liability at a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company. The prosecution had recommended a prison sentence, but after effective defense, the client ultimately received a verdict of exemption from criminal punishment. 2. I provided second-instance criminal defense services for the owner of a traditional Chinese medicine store accused of illegally acquiring and selling products made from precious and endangered wildlife. The store owner was initially sentenced to 10 years and 2 months in prison in the first instance. After effective defense, the second-instance court reduced the sentence to 3 years’ probation. 3. I provided criminal defense services for a branch manager at a Beijing branch of GF Bank who was accused of embezzlement. The investigative authorities had determined that the amount embezzled exceeded 60 million yuan. Despite the prosecution’s sentencing recommendation of 14 years and 6 months, after effective defense, the charged amount was reduced to over 20 million yuan, and the client was ultimately sentenced to 11 years and 6 months in prison. 4. I provided defense services for a client accused of dangerous driving (blood alcohol concentration of 214 mg/100 ml after drinking) and obstructing official duties (resisting law enforcement resulting in minor injuries to two police officers). After effective defense, the charge of obstructing official duties was ultimately dropped, and the charge of dangerous driving resulted in a sentence of three months’ detention with five months’ probation. 5. I provided defense services for a client accused of illegal business operations. The case involved an amount exceeding 20 million yuan, and the indictment confirmed illegal profits of over 6 million yuan. The prosecution recommended a sentence of three years and five months, along with a fine of 6 million yuan. After effective defense, the judicial audit report commissioned by the public security authorities was not adopted, some of the alleged criminal acts were found not to constitute a crime, and the client ultimately received probation without having to pay the fine. 6. I represented a client in a dispute over a wealth management contract. The client had entrusted another person to manage their stock account, but no evidence had been produced. Ultimately, through a well-designed litigation strategy and evidence-gathering plan, I brought in supervision from both the public security authorities and the China Securities Regulatory Commission, obtained crucial evidence, and after multiple rounds of trial, successfully recovered losses beyond expectations.
The Supreme People’s Court heard a dispute over a construction contract between a certain Construction Group Co., Ltd. and a certain Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. in Yunnan Province; the Yunnan Provincial Higher People’s Court heard a dispute over a construction contract between a certain Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. from Henan Province and a certain Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. in Zhaotong; and a dispute over unjust enrichment between Liu and Li. We also co-organized several influential criminal cases within the province, such as the case against Jiang, who was accused of accepting bribes and embezzlement, and the case against Pan Asia Center, which was accused of fundraising fraud.
